Collection of Personal Information
We collect various categories of Personal Information on this Site. If you submit any Personal Information, including an inquiry or question via an online form or email, we may collect your name, email address, or other Personal Information contained in that correspondence. Kapesni uses web tracking technologies to collect information in an aggregate form that does not identify the individual user, and only for us to understand how well our Service is working. For example, we may develop anonymous, aggregate, statistical information on usage of the Kapesni website (which we may disclose to business partners and investors), such as by keeping count of return visitors to the Kapesni website and assessing which pages of the website are most popular. This allows us to determine which features visitors like best to help us improve our Service, personalize your user experience, and measure overall effectiveness. With respect to all Site visitors, we do not wish to collect any "sensitive" Personal Information, such as racial or ethnic origin, age, political, religious, or philosophical beliefs, sexual life, social security or other government identification numbers, trade union membership, health or medical conditions, or criminal history.
Location Tracking Information
When participants use Kapesni on their mobile devices, Kapesni may, with your permission, collect location tracking information that tells Kapesni the locations of visitors based on the location of their device. We use location tracking information for the purposes of showing you nearby organizations and Tours, and enabling you to access other location-based features of the service.
Use of Personal Information
We may use Personal Information to respond to your inquiries and answer your questions, to provide you with requested information, and to undertake activities in connection with the conduct and management of our Service. We also may use Personal Information for the purposes of testing and maintaining our databases, networks, and computer systems, and for training and other internal purposes.
We also use your Personal Information to contact you and provide you with information that may be useful or interesting to you, including newsletters regarding changes and upgrades to the Service as well as promotional e-mails. You agree to receive this information from us. If you do not want us to send you emails or otherwise contact you, you can always opt out of communications by following the instructions we provide to you when we contact you.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We may share Personal Information with our offices and affiliates where necessary or appropriate in connection with the performance of our Services. We reserve the right to disclose Personal Information to third party subcontractors, including information technology providers and business process outsourcing providers, in order to help support our business operations. We also reserve the right to disclose Personal Information in connection with the sale, assignment, or other transfer of all or part of the business, or where we believe such disclosure may be required by law or may be appropriate in connection with any legal claims. We may also use, disclose, or otherwise process any information for statistical or any other purposes that we choose in our sole discretion, as long as such information is not in personally identifiable form.
Site Usage Data
When you use the Site, we may record information about your usage of the Site, the Tours you download or publish, the frequency and size of data transfers, and information you post about yourself as well as information you click on in the Site (including UI elements, settings). If you are logged in, we may associate that information with your user account. In order to ensure the quality of our service to you, we may place a tag (also called a "web beacon") in HTML-based customer support emails or other communications with you in order to confirm delivery. Some of this data may include data, such as IP address data, that is unique to you.
Information That is Publicly Available
Information that you post in public areas of the Site or publish as part of a Kapesni Tour may be accessed, used, and stored by others. We use reasonable measures to limit access to our Service to legitimate users, but cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will not gain access to our Site and the data it contains. Therefore, we suggest that you not post sensitive information to the Site.
Any Tours that you submit to us may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by other users or the general public. You may also choose to add personal information which may include your name, title, email address, telephone number, physical address, picture, or other details, that will be visible to other users on your organization overview page.
Security of Personal Information
We maintain reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. To the extent that we disclose Personal Information to third party subcontractors, we require that such third parties also maintain reasonable security and confidentiality measures and use the Personal Information in accordance with our instructions. In addition, where we disclose Personal Information to third parties mentioned in the foregoing paragraphs, we will request that they properly protect the security and confidentiality of such information, and otherwise process such data in accordance with applicable law.
Certain areas of the Service and Site are password-protected and reserved for registered users. It is your responsibility to safeguard any password and user ID that you have to access these portions of the Site, and to notify us if you ever suspect that this password and/or user ID has been compromised. You are solely responsible for any unauthorized use of this Site conducted via your password and user ID.
